1. Enter your basic information
Please provide information of the applicant. In addition to your name, date of birth, and address in Japan, you will also need to enter your status of residence and period of validity of the residence card. Please have your residence card ready when you apply.
Confirm all information provided is correct. Only those with a valid residence card of over one year are eligible to apply. Since your name must also be entered in katakana, please verify in advance if you are unsure of the notation.

2. Complete the form and submit them along with personal identification documents.
In a few days, you will receive the documents ,which you need to complete the following procedures by mail, so please fill out the designated fields.
After filling out the form, send it back to JCB with a copy of your residence card as a proof of your identity.

3. Membership examination & Card issuance
As soon as the documents you sent back are delivered to JCB, we will review your application. After that, wait for the response from JCB. If you pass the screening, you will be issued.

4. Sending a Card
The credit card will be mailed directly to the applicant. If you entered your driver's license number as identification when you applied, you will need to present your driver's license when the credit card is delivered.

Annual membership fee （Principal Cardmember）

1,375 yen（tax included）No annual membership fee for the first year（only for online enrollment）.
If the following two conditions are met, the annual membership fee for the following year will be free.
（1）Registration for MyJ Check（until 19th of the month before the month of payment of the annual membership fee）
（2）Use of shopping for a total of 500,000 yen（tax included）or more per year *4

Eligible candidate （Principal Cardmember）

Those who are 18 years of age or older have a stable income for themselves or their spouse. Or students over the age of 18 excluding high school students. Applicants who have a residence card valid for at least one year.
* Some schools cannot be applied for.

*1. JCB smartphone insurance will be applied if you use a JCB General Card to pay for smartphone usage charges for the past three months from the time of the accident.Smartphones within 24 months of purchase are covered.

*2. Domestic travel accident insurance will be applied after registering for MyJ check, pay in advance with the JCB General Card for "public transportation equipment to board", "accommodation facilities such as inns and hotels", and "recruitment-type planned trips to participate".

*3. Overseas travel accident insurance is applied if you register for MyJ check and pay the fee for "public transportation equipment to board" or "participation-type planned trip" before leaving Japan with a JCB General Card.

*4. The period of counting is from December 16 to December 15 of the following year, regardless of when you enroll. However, if the sales receipt from the merchant arrives at JCB after the counting period, it will be counted for the following year even if the date of use is within the counting period.
